Why twelve lemons?

Eight Lemons

First I made lemonade, next I made lemon cookies, and after that I made lemon chicken. For my next lemon recipe I tried out one of the variations I suggested in my lemonade post: strawberry lemonade!

Strawberry Syrup

This easy strawberry syrup is was separates this from regular, boring, lemon-flavoured lemonade.
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup washed/hulled/chopped strawberries
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool completely, then strain through a fine sieve, pressing with a spoon to get as much syrup as possible. Discard old, boiled up strawberries.

After you’ve made your strawberry syrup, mix it with
• the juice of 3 lemons
• 3 cups of water

Serve chilled and delicious!
