This is actually the last Kawaii box of our three-month subscription. I wanted to try it out for a short time before I committed to a longer subscription, and honestly I thought the first two boxes were just okay and prob wouldn’t have continued, but this box was the best yet! Unfortunately I’m too broke to re-subscribe rn so we probably won’t be getting more boxes until much later in the summer, or maybe even the fall.

This box very helpfully included a list of the contents, which is good for some of the more inscrutable items.

Sym’s picks:
chocolate bar comb; this was probably the lamest item in the box
alpaca stickers; this month was very alpaca-heavy
Harajuku crepe charm
panda colour pen
banana mini plush; SO CUTE
doughnut squishy charm; while she wishes this was scented (I got a squishy charm last month that is scented) she still likes it

My Picks:
Okitoki notebook set
Meiji petit gum; I got this by default because Sym can’t have gum with her braces
Rilakkuma mini letter set; idk what I’m gonna do with this microscopic stationery
neon bow hair band; also a default item as Sym rarely wears her hair in a ponytail
alpaca eraser
alpaca card holder; so much cuter than the last cardholder we got

We (Sym and I) received the April Kawaii Box in the first week of May but I’ve been too busy to post about it until now. I think I liked this box a little better than the March one; with the exception of one item everything is pretty good! I took these pics in Sym’s room in the middle of setting up her new bed so they aren’t great but oh well. I think Sym got more stuff than me, but I’m okay with that. In this box we got:

– “Love Rabbit” stickers, these are super puffy and very cute (Sym’s pick)
– squishy cat paw cellphone charm, chocolate(???) scented? weird (my pick, stolen by Gwen)
– Collon cookies, I’ve had the chocolate and vanilla ones before, these were (I assume) green tea. Pretty good, sweet at the start with a very tea-ish aftertaste. (shared with everyone)
– stick on gems for cellphone decoration (Sym’s pick)
– little plush cat (my pick, stolen by Gwen)
– Rilakkuma notebook with pink pages (my pick)
– orange macaron trinket box, at first I thought this might have lipgloss in it but it’s just empty (my pick)
– another pen, this one with a little pony on it (Sym’s pick)
– sheep-themed pencil case, at first I thought these were knock off Arkapassos but it helpfully says “ovis aries” on it (the scientific name for domestic sheep) (Sym’s pick)
– pink & white polkadot vinyl bow hair clip, I love how this looks in her hair with the pink tips! (Sym’s pick)
– not pictured: a pack of assorted colours of loose glitter, this was shedding all over Sym’s bed so we left it in the box. The flop item, very messy and neither of us wanted it (I have enough glitter & Sym is not into glitter-based crafts)

On the weekend I got the first Kawaii Box of my three-month subscription. I agreed to sharesies everything with Sym so I’ve split the contents of the box between what we each ended up with…

Sym’s picks:

– melon plush keychain, this was her fave
– pink hair pin shaped like a bow? ears? something? this is cute but pulls like crazy when you take it out
– pink nail clippers (weird)
– pin, idk how she scored this when I’m the pin enthusiast, I mean she doesn’t even wear her denim jacket (I KNOW, like how are we even related???)
– “Love” pen
– 2 packs of stickers, one sheet of fat lil animals and 3 sheets of floral designs on clear vinyl that can be used to decorate phones, cups, etc

My picks:

– adorable spring-themed sticky notes, shaped like lambs, flowers & chickies
– a roll of sticker tape, I like the idea of this but the design not my fave
– heart-print envelopes
– Hi-Chews! I love Hi-CHews and I especially love green apple Hi-Chews, but I can get this at the store by my house so I would have rather gotten a flavour not available in Canada, like cola or something
– pink quilted vinyl cardholder with a black diamond charm, I think this is kind of tacky but I like the charm so I might take it off and use it on it’s own

I’m not completely sold on this box, I’m hoping the next two have some better things, but Sym LOVED it (why wouldn’t she, she got the best stuff!) so I will probably continue my subscription regardless.
